Simultaneously exploring themes of comedy and horror, CentralTrak visiting artist Ari Richter presents "The Skin I Live In."
The exhibition includes drawings and sculptures that Richter produced during his residency. Some of Richter’s most methodical constructions utilize his own hair, skin or fingernail clippings to speak to universal traits of anxiety and compulsion.
Richter is a Professor of Art at LaGuardia Community College in New York. His CentralTrak residency and exhibition are supported in part by a grant from the CUNY Professional Staff Congress.
